If a Restricted Free Agent is re-signed by a team, they will automatically be set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of that extension, regardless of their age. This means that players are only RFAs for the duration of their real life contracts (If they're RFAs IRL), or until their ELC expires.
This means that all players become Unrestricted at the end of their second professional contract.
IF YOU RE-SIGN AN RFA, it is YOUR responsibility to change them to UFA status. Failure to comply will result in either:
-loss of picks -immediate loss of player -Cap restrictions -player suspensions or any other punishment I find it prudent to dish out.
