A PLAYER MUST HAVE PLAYED ATLEAST 25 GAMES TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ROSTER UPGRADES. GOALTENDERS MUST PLAY 12. UPGRADES ARE DETERMINED BY THE SIMMER. Teams can pick 3 players to upgrade.
Upgrades in this league are different than others. Now, age and potential have huge factors. The upgrade age limit is 30. (PLAYER MUST BE YOUNGER THAN 30). The closer a player is to 30, the lower his upgrade will be. Don't be afraid to upgrade defensive players. I will look at defensive statistics for these players, such as DFD!
Every team will get 3 player upgrades.
Max is a +5. Min is a +1.
How to earn a large upgrade.
A plus 5 is extremely rare. Age limit for this upgrade is 21. The player must be young, and have posted a very good season that shows signs of them being a generational talent. (think- PPG pace), or above average goaltending statistics for a goaltender. The teams performance also plays a large role. (If a player did well on a poor team, it will boost their performance overview. If they were on a stacked team, they may likely fall to a +4 or +3 even!)
A plus 4 is rare. Age limit is 22. The player needs to be young, and have posted a strong season. Example, if a rookie forward scored 60+ he would most likely get this. If a rookie goalie has a solid season with top 10 worthy numbers, they will get this.
Plus 3 is an above average upgrades. Age limit is 25. Players that have solid seasons and aren't rookies, or in their 2nd or 3rd season, will likely get this.
Plus 2 is average. Age limit will be 30. Awarded to players who did not stand out to much at all, but did well enough to not be considered poor performers in the previous season.
Plus 1 is actually common. There is no age limit. The player would likely have had a poor season based on how their overall should perform, 88+ players are most likely to get this, although they may be able to get more
